Renting Tips for Landlords

Renting Tips for Landlords

If you are looking to lease your house or condominium, and do not know where to start, make sure to contact a Sales Representative. A Sales Representative can facilitate the whole process, and allow you to be free of all worries. The following are just some of the points that I can help you with:

1.   Your rental place will not only be advertised on Craigslist, Kijiji, Facebook, Twitter, and my own website, it will also be advertised on REALTOR. ca which is the largest source of means for rental units. Potential tenants feel more comfortable in contacting you if they see that you are working with a Sales Representative.

2.   All potential tenants will be qualified through a rental application, employment letter, reference letters and credit check.

3.   Understanding your right as a landlord and the rights of tenants are essential. I will go over the Residential Tenancies Act.

4.   It is important that your tenant receives contents insurance for your property. I will ensure that your tenant has contacted a reputable insurance company and has received contents insurance.

5.   All terms and conditions in a lease agreement will be negotiated in your best interest.

6.   I will go over all lease rate comparables to ensure that you are leasing your place for current market rental rates.

7.   If you do not want to worry about the whole rental process of your property, you can always hire a Sales Representative to act as a property manager for your house/condo. A Sales Representative can ensure that all post-dated cheques have been submitted and everything is maintained. The Sales Representative can be the main source of contact between the tenant and the landlord.

Renting a property can be a lot of work, and there is a lot to consider. Whether you are looking to be a landlord or a tenant, make sure to contact me so that we can sit down over coffee, and go over all your options.
